Resiliency: C. Fay Shlanda

Bouncing back
To have a flexibility
An ability to withstand adversity
Rearranging to accommodate the hardships of life.

Trauma pricked, prodded, and poked at my buoyancy
My adaptability was tested, taunted and tweaked
Triggers pulled, played, and plotted against my elasticity
Recovery was trying, traumatic, and tear inducing.
To spring back
Having a pliability
A certain give and take to survive
There is a hardiness sharing space with my softness.
