The Rain at Night: Robert St. Germain

The sky is dark and dreary, all I can see is the stars

And now I’m thinking of you, wherever you are

The branches on the trees are like fingers blowing in the wind

Now is the time when the witching hour begins

There is a black cat on the fence, with glowing golden eyes

And the memory of you makes me want to cry

The glow of of the street lights pour down like heaven from above

The raven sings a song of pain and love

The wind is like a violin playing upon the strings

This evening is a place where my suffering begins

In the park a swing moves like a ghost

And you are the thing I yearn for the most

Oh of the past, will you ever set me free

I’m all out of hope , but I still want to believe
