Untitled: Jordan Derkson

You pray for, rain
To quench your thirst.
You beg for salvation
In the midst of a war…
You beg to be heard
Alone in the woods…
You would die of thirst, floating
On the ocean, between the waves and the sky.
Blinded by the light of the sun.
You would beg to be buried in the tall grass,
By the place lovers pass.
Salvation bears no price.
But peace… is more valuable than any amount of money.
And in, peace I lay down my life.
I swear to find a piece of land and keep peace over it.
