Stain Glass Bird: James Adamson

A heart is a stain glass bird
and the heart flutters
as the glass flies to the sky
Its eyes admit light
to its other side
and the world is transformed
into fragile beauty
as it flies deeper into the sky
It soars with the glory of a twinkling star
The clouds make way for their true love
A heart flutters and the glass cracks
Is it insanity? Now it makes way
for sympathy and the drizzle of light
to a tear as the heart tried to be more
And now it is the absence of
a cracked stain glass bird.
