Montreal at Night: Heather Carr

The city is alive,
Some dopamine-drenched dream,
Or serotonin-stupor,
There must be some meaning,
An answer, a reason,
The lights are eerie,
I feel real, but surroundings
Are a nighttime dreamscape,
Odd things hold importance,
Election signs in the moonlight,
Edith Laperle, Debout pour Outremont,
How can I be sure if I am awake,
Such a foreign landscape,
Confusion reigns, I will go to sleep and wait for the morning.
I will go to sleep and wait for the morning.
