Weary Dragon: Susan Maria Rowley

Paisley carnations
worn by Dakini vibrations
incessantly turning me round
unbake this fish trout can confound
lily on lily
why are thou so withered?
your javaesque triptych fools me not
I smell your labyrinth
of dust and ashes
littering my fairground
whirl ferris wheel
spinning wheel
of new dreams
light the long crack
by this sleeping mask
so jaded
cover me in spades
and aces
plant diamonds in my heart
and shrieking fangs in my venetians
wandering blue bear
at the howling wolves
walking and talking
about ice cream absolutions
creamy solutions
and substitutions
for unlaunderable
who live
yet unfulfilled
smack that down
weary dragon!
