The joy of the sparrows
As they sang in their parliament
A sawed off tree was the seat
Of their chirping counsel
While the others were silent
Then joy sprang forth abundantly
Delighting in the wisdom of the creator
I knew love then
When the birds sang of wonder
Now the sparrows are fewer
And their ranks have dwindled
I know despair and judgement
As they chatter endlessly on T.V.
While they devour and pollute paradise
Restore the birds
Restore paradise
Protest for the love of peace and paradise
With the sword of peace, truth and love
Too much wealth
For the mighty nations
