People only see the dirty
clothes, but this is a
way that not all chose.
Through circumstance, they wage war with every winter.
Sometimes it’s him,
sometimes it’s her.
Some people say they panhandle for booze.
though who would not want to escape the helpless blues.
There is not always something to look forward to living on the streets,
all they can do is struggle through every week.
Some get their meal from a garbage can
and some get harassed by The Man.
They are homeless.
