Melody: Gerald Herron

The words and years left unspent,
I now confess to you,
in the hopes you are listening
in your kingdom of blue.
For I now come with roses
and this poem in hand,
to realize the mistakes
I have made as a man.
For the greying silver
now passes through these aging doors;
and I reach out onto my last stretch of highway,
travelling towards the electric blue;
where they say the ocean has no memory,
a place perhaps to start anew.I’m left to wonder,
I’m left to wonder,
as I always now seem to do,
will fate play its vital role?
And our two worlds collide once again,
in the youth of another spring,
back to where it all began.
In the end my love,
Could you…love me again?
