About Jim Beckta

Artbeat Alumni artist and poet Jim Beckta found inspiration from participating in many art workshops from Studio Central and continues to grow throughout all his many travels and destinations in life. He is also an old hippie who found his niche in “appropriate technology” and worked in Bolivian and Tanzanian villages in the 70’s and 80’s. In 1988, he married Annalea who gave birth to his first son, Paul. They moved to Winnipeg where he still lives and is enjoying his retirement.
