Winter: Marjolaine Brodeur

Looking at the way the fog and rime made the area where seems attractive filled me with wonder. Then, later that afternoon as the sun made its way towards evening, the sky was tinged in pink with the noon providing light instead of the day’s sun. I wished so much to be able to take advantage of the situation and go skating in the nearby park’s skating rink.

But, having recently hurt my foot leaving me with two very sore toes, I could not lace skates and try me luck at being a graceful skater ‘a la Tessa Virtue. Reality, though, made me aware that I would have to wake, yet again. Waiting for patients to wash over me I can barely walk about doing my short errands without limping.

Though I may be premature, I feel that spring will soon be here. Two and a half months will find us in the new season with its resurgence of life. Yet, right now, there are moments when the weather, right now, there are moments when the weather, though cold, is still able to fill us with awe and find us delighting in it.
