Stardust Aliens By Randy James Hoffman

We gazed up at the stars
With the smell of The Milky Way
In our nostrils
Peering into the dark blue-black sky
Wondering if there are others
Out there
Thinking about us
Down here on the Great Blue Marble
We call earth
Place of our birth for this lifetime
But have we lived before
We wonder
On other planets in other forms
Of ourselves
Maybe we are the aliens after all
Stardust seeded into the brown soil
Of the planet
Each with an origin
From out there in outer space
Where we still wonder if others
Are watching
Waiting silently to make themselves
Known
