Depression by Richard Underwood

Depression can be defeating,
depression can be no fun.
That said, it’s also fleeting
you’ll be better in the long run.

It will build you up,
in ways never expected.
You’ll have more resiliency,
and strength you never realized.

It will make you kinder,
more compassionate too,
molding you into a better person;
a more complete you.

Depression is all lies,
it’s not telling the truth,
it’s trying to hide,
you’re a value to many.

Depression isn’t the ending,
it’s just a chapter.
This ain’t the book baby,
You’re an adapter.
