Labyrinth: Brittney Fox

The winding tracks, leading towards, Schizophrenia, are rocky, worn, and secluded.
You have to avoid, the deep ditches, and steep potholes.
Along, the remote road, the abandoned houses, have crooked roofs; and unkempt lawns.
There is not one reliable street light.
And, there isn’t a place to eat, or gas up, for miles.

If you dare to go, too far down that avenue,
you’ll be engulfed in an enigma.
You’ll temporarily, feel as though, you’ve become one with Alice in Wonderland.
But, you’re sure to be hit, with the disorient feeling,
of when you’re being driven the wrong way; down a one way street.
When you run out of this, twisted asphalt,
there’s a labyrinth that will lead you to a land of alternate realities, and unpopular decisions.
With little to no direction, you will meander through the forks in the road.
Get a little lost, if you will.
It will take outstanding resilience, for you, to retrace your steps.

You’ll realize, Schizophrenia, is back to being in your rear view,
When the wind, walls and trees, stop whispering their sweet nothings.
