As a person searching for meaning in their life, I always like to connect my past with the future in ways that teach lessons on continual self-improvement for everyone. I like to ask, “Where have we come from”?, and “Where are we heading”? Also is there an ultimate middle class dream life? To find answers, what if we grab the best of life and hold onto it by producing works of art and displaying them in unique ways. As a race, we try to understand how everything is made. Perfection is the goal, on the outside. However, in our minds, from the inside looking out, questioning and answering is never fully attained. We are always asking how and why, etc.. That is because we are always changing, growing and becoming new people. Always! Winning, however yearned for, as an attainable concept, reveals that success is different in everyone’s minds. As a result, winning means many different things over the years as our lives change. Accepting that the only real constant in life may be change is humbling. And being humble is a good thing because it brings us closer to God – something which I aspire to. My most humbling award was the 2001 YM-YWCA Hallmark Woman of Distinction Award for Communications and Public Relations. My most satisfying accomplishment is the 2017 publication of a book of poetry that is also a workbook for people experiencing mental health issues, entitled, “Designer Poetry“. This is the first time I’ve shared my writing with an online audience.
